What causes kidney stones?

I heard it is from excessive sugars from junk foods is this true? Plus, I heard that drinking water and sometimes cranberry juice also helps eliminate this problem, and another benefit is that it reduces enlargement prostate in men. I don’t have kidney stones, even though I wondered about kidney stones in general so I thought I’d ask. However, I didn’t go to the doctor yet but I believe I might have enlarged prostate because I feel a throbbing feeling inside of me over top of my anal area and it’s NOT ANYWHERE located in the scrotum area, so I know it’s not my testicles. I believe it’s the prostate. Are these one of the symptoms for enlarged prostate? Will drinking water and cranberry juice shrink it to size, if that is the problem of the throbbing and pulsating feel, it’s a little bit on my left side located where I stated earlier.

My friend brags about his enlarged prostate to women. Should I tell him what a prostate is? Or enjoy the show?

Ok, my friend went to the doctor a few weeks ago, and got the news about his enlarged prostate. He came home and bragged to me about it, saying that he wasn’t going to take the medication because he didn’t want to shrink his "package". Obviously he doesn’t know what a prostate is.
Anyhow, we have been going to the bars on the weekends, and he hits on women and nonchalantly tells them of his large prostate. Well of course the conversation ends there and the women get a chuckle out of it.
I know I need to tell him about this as its important he take his medication, but would it be out of line if we went out one more time and I secretly videotape him hitting on women telling them this? His kids would get a big kick out of it.

My dog as a enlarged prostate?

My dog as a enlarged prostate. The vet gave us meds but we do not thing it’s to shrink it because I looked it up online and it said nothing about shrinking the prostate. He is in pain, what can I do for him until I go back to the vet and have him neudered Tuesday? Help ASAP.
He also trys to pee but cannot.
last night my dog was crying in pain and I put an ice pack on him where I felt the pain was and it seamed like he liked it.
wheels1984: do you think that was the right thing to do? this morning he peed. like 11:50AM cst he did not act like he had to go out but I took him out anyway. He would not go out until I went out with him but he did pee again. so I think I should take him out every hour.

Can my husbands enlarged prostate keep us from getting pregnant?

My hubbie and and I have been ttc over 1 1/2 years. He is 55, and I am 35. He has an enlarged prostate. We are going to get a sperm count done soon. But just wanted to know what anyone thought out there about this issue. If it does keep us from getting pg, is there something we can do to shrink it? I know we can go IVF but it is very expensive. Any ideas?

I was going to use preparation h cream , but on the label it has a bunch of warnings like, do not use if you have difficulty urinating due to enlargement of the prostate. Well I have an enlarged prostate, is this stuff going cause it to get bigger?

It also says if you have thyroid problems or high blood pressure, which I have both. This stuff can mess with my thyroid ?

Has anyone had a dog develop an enlarged prostate even though he has been neutered?

I have a 15-year-old neutered Peke who has been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate. The vet is calling back Thursday with more information, but from what I have read, it seems that the prostate is mostly removed with neutering. In what case would my dog then have a prostate problem?
